ALEX ELY'S INSPIRATION PUBLISHED IN BUILDING DESIGN
We had a fantastically sunny day during a recent visit to the 'burbs of Berlin to photograph the Britz Metropolitan Settlement. The project, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site, was selected by Mae Architects' Alex Ely as his "Inspiration" for Building Design magazine.
The scheme, one of six Unesco-listed Berlin estates, was built in the 1920s and designed by Bruno Taut and Martin Wagner.

While there, we visited the nearby Schloss Britz for lunch and came across this rather wonderful semi-outdoor theatre/performance space in the surrounding parkland. If anyone knows who designed it, please let me know in the comments!
