Tomorrow (23 June 2016) sees publication of the book 50 Architects 50 Buildings: The buildings that inspire architects.

I have been working on the book for the past year with journalist Pamela Buxton, fellow photographer Ed Tyler, plus the expert teams at the Twentieth Century Society and publisher Batsford.

Edited by Pamela, the book is based on the highly-successful Inspiration series featured in Building Design magazine. Architects chose a building that had provided significant inspiration for them during their lives and careers. Either myself or Ed travelled with Pamela and the architect to their chosen building to take photos, while Pamela interviewed them about their choice. As a result, the book is filled with original photography as well as thought-provoking texts.

Published in conjunction with the Twentieth Century Society  the book is introduced by Twentieth Century Society director Catherine Croft. Architects featured in the book include Michael Squire (of Squire and Partners) and the late Jonathan Woolf (of Jonathan Woolf Architects).

Pick up a copy at the RIBA Bookshop.

Waterstones Piccadilly is hosting an event featuring Pamela in conversation with two of the architects featured in the book on 7th July. More information here.
